ViewLux Construction in North Las Vegas, NV | Slatestone Contractors
We provide independent General Contractor in North Las Vegas ViewLux service across the area, from Aliante and Tule Springs to the older 89030 corridor. Most ViewLux frameless shower enclosures and vanity cabinetry survive their first North Las Vegas summer, then start showing the exact same failures: dried seals, cracked glass at hard corners, and swollen toe kicks where slab moisture wicks through expansive clay. We diagnose those failures against local conditions and give you real repair-versus-replace numbers on the same visit. Call (833) 734-5541 for a free estimate.
Why North Las Vegas Residents Choose Us for ViewLux Service
We have handled ViewLux products through hundreds of Las Vegas ViewLux service installs and repairs in North Las Vegas, from Aliante new-builds to downtown stucco-era kitchens. ViewLux frameless glass enclosures, vanity cabinetry, and quartz surfacing behave differently in this valley than they do on a stabilized lot in a milder climate, and that difference is what we have learned to plan for. We are an independent ViewLux service provider, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by ViewLux, so our recommendations are based on what actually holds up here. Brent Calloway, our owner, grew up in this valley and went through the construction technology program at College of Southern Nevada. That background means we quote repairs honestly and install what the desert will leave alone.

Common ViewLux Construction Problems We Solve in North Las Vegas
- Failed seals on frameless shower enclosures. The factory silicone seals on ViewLux frameless enclosures dry out and fail within a few summers in North Las Vegas. The 105 – 115°F heat plus monsoon humidity cycling accelerates breakdown, and water reaches the curb and subfloor before most homeowners notice the leak. We pull the glass, check the curb pitch, and reset with OEM seals.
- Swollen vanity and cabinet toe kicks. ViewLux vanity and cabinet boxes installed against exterior walls in 1990s – 2000s tract homes absorb moisture and swell at the toe kick, especially where slab moisture wicks up through expansive clay. We re-shim, install moisture breaks, and rebuild the toe kick with sealed edges.
- Cracked quartz at sink cutouts and cooktop corners. ViewLux quartz and stone countertops crack at these stress points when cabinets shift on unseasoned desert slab or when installers skip proper shimming. In fast-track subdivision builds, this is a common callback we walk into in North Las Vegas.
- Popped tiles and hairline grout cracks. ViewLux tile and backsplash adhesive and grout fail under intense west-facing sun through unshaded windows. Kitchens and showers pick up popped tiles and spider cracks that a generic re-grout will not fix, because the substrate itself is moving.
- Glass panel cracks from heat cycling. The fixed panel on a ViewLux frameless enclosure can develop a hairline crack after several summers in North Las Vegas. Hot glass expands, cools quickly during a monsoon downpour, and a stress point at the hinge cutout lets go. We replace the panel and re-torque hardware so the new glass does not inherit the same stress.
ViewLux Service in North Las Vegas: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
North Las Vegas sits on valley expansive clay with caliche layers beneath it. That is not a county detail, it is a North Las Vegas-specific reality. A caliche layer can stop a trencher cold, and when you pour a slab over moisture-active clay without proper conditioning, the slab moves. ViewLux shower bases and vanity cabinets are installed directly on top of that moving slab. If the slab wicks moisture upward, the vanity toe kick swells. If the slab shrinks and shifts, the shower curb pitch changes by a couple of degrees, and water that used to drain toward the shower floor now puddles against the wall. When we install ViewLux enclosures in North Las Vegas, we anchor blocking into the studs, condition the slab edge, and always check curb pitch with a laser before the glass goes in. The city’s fast-track subdivision permitting also means our install windows are frequently locked to the grading and heat schedule, not our calendar. In a city pushing north and west into raw desert, site work and finish work have to sequence around a heat window that starts in April and does not let up until October.
ViewLux Models & Products We Service in North Las Vegas
We service the ViewLux frameless glass shower enclosure lines, both pivot and sliding-door series. We handle the ViewLux kitchen and bath vanity cabinetry lines, the quartz and stone countertop surfacing series, and the tile and backsplash collections. On parts, we source OEM ViewLux hinges, seals, glass hardware, and trim where the part carries water or structural load. For cosmetic trim and wear items, we use quality aftermarket components and tell you which is which. The OEM seals and hardware are typically available to us same-week in North Las Vegas, so we rarely leave a shower stripped down waiting on a backordered part envelope.

FAQs – ViewLux Construction in North Las Vegas
Yes. We install and service ViewLux frameless enclosures in Aliante, Tule Springs, Eldorado, and the newer subdivisions pushing north and west in North Las Vegas. In Aliante, we reset a homeowner’s ViewLux frameless shower enclosure after the seals started weeping and the fixed panel cracked at a stress point, and we offer ViewLux service in Winchester as well. We pulled the glass, found the curb pitched toward the wall, reset it with new OEM seals and hardware, and re-tiled the threshold. In Tule Springs, we corrected a ViewLux quartz island top that cracked at the overhang because the cabinets were shimmed over unseasoned slab. We re-leveled and re-installed with proper support before the countertop went back down.
Heat dries out factory silicone seals faster here than in coastal markets, and monsoon humidity swings make the drying worse. Cabinet finishes exposed to west-facing sun through unshaded glass fade and check, and toe kicks absorb slab moisture in older 2000s-era tract homes. The failure is gradual. By the time water puddles at the curb or a toe kick darkens, the damage is already behind the surface.
Almost always, the cabinet boxes were shimmed over unseasoned or shifting desert slab and the countertop was set before the base settled. A quart-inch of movement at the cabinet transfers up through a rigid seam and concentrates at the thinnest cut. That overhang is the thinnest cut. We see this in North Las Vegas fast-track subdivision builds more than anywhere else in the valley.
Often, yes. If the glass is intact and the frame is square, we replace the OEM hinges, seals, and hardware and re-pitch the curb. If the glass has stress cracks or the substrate behind the enclosure is water-damaged, we price both a targeted repair and a full replacement so you can compare real numbers side by side.
A ViewLux walk-in shower installation typically falls between $4,500 and $12,000, and a tub-to-shower conversion between $3,500 and $10,000. Countertop installation for ViewLux quartz or stone runs $2,000 to $6,500 depending on square footage and edge profile. Call (833) 734-5541 for an exact quote, estimates are free.
